We manage the only two axle change facilities
We open the doors to Europe. We manage the only two facilities that allow international traffic of wagons with interchangeable axles between the Peninsula and the rest of Europe. Thanks to this service, we overcome the difference between Iberian gauge (1,668 mm) and European gauge (1,435 mm) without the need to transship the cargo. Thus, we offer a direct and continuous connection with Europe, reducing times and improving the efficiency of international rail transport.
The axles are changed at these facilities located at two border points: Cerbère and Hendaye, which have been operating since 1950.
